Northwest of Downtown sits a section of historic neighborhoods that date back to the late 1800s. Residents once flocked to the area to escape the big city, but today it’s home to diverse Houstonians that are drawn to its rich and character-filled architecture, mom and pop-type shops and funky restaurants. Visit the Heights at VisitTexas.
Find something you never knew you wanted at one of 19th Street’s quaint boutiques. Thrift stores, antique havens, and cafes prove to be popular at the Heights-strip. It is important to realize that the Heights itself is comprised of several neighborhoods that vary in their character and desirability.
The median rental home size in the Heights is 1,178sf and priced at a whooping $1.54sf. The first scatter plot does show a swath of homes up to about 1,500sf with drop off in number of units past that mark. The price per sf is more heavily represented in the $1 - $2 band.
The last scatter plot shows us that most units are rented out in less than 50 days with the largest cluster renting out in the first twenty days. The outliers are most likely overpriced.
